Length: Average length 1.5m-2m.
Habitat:Rainforests of the Atherton Tablelands of north-eastern Queensland. These pythons have the smallest geographical distribution of any carpet python species
Food: Eats birds and mammals, killing them by coiling around them and crushing them. Tracks prey using heat sensitive pits on lips. Has no venom and is harmless to humans.
Breeding: Female lays up to 50 eggs and then coils around them until they hatch.
