Scrub Python

Description: The Scrub Python has a moderately slender body and a long head, wider than its neck. The colour of the back and sides is yellowish to golden with numerous ragged blackish bands that may form a net-like pattern. The average length of the Scrub Python is 3.5 meters but can reach up to 8 meters.

Bite: Non-venomous

Habitat: Inhabits rainforest, sclerophyll forests and humid woodland.

Diet: Mammals and birds

Breeding: A female lays 5-17 eggs per clutch. she broods the eggs by coiling about them and produces “shivering” movements to keep them warm.
