Spotted Python

Description: The Spotted Python has a moderate body and a narrow head that is wider than is neck. The colour of the back and sides is fawn to brown with  numerous strongly contrasting dark brown or purplish-brown blotches. The average length of a Spotted Python is 1 – 1.5 meters.

BITE: Non-venomous

HABITAT: Inhabits humid woodland and dry sclerophyll forest.

DIET: Frogs, small lizards, birds and mammals

BREEDING: A female Spotted Python lays 4-17 eggs. The eggs stick together to form a single mass and the female coils around them during the incubation period.
