About the role
Oakvale Wildlife Park has an opportunity available for an experienced and vibrant Marketing Coordinator. You will be responsible for developing digital communications and marketing materials that champion Oakvale's objectives and engage with our domestic and international markets. The right applicant will possess a professional and positive approach, coupled with passion and knowledge.
You will be required to:
- Collaborate with both internal teams and external content creators, you will develop engaging, brand-aligned content that supports Oakvale's strategic goals.
- Produce photography, videography, and graphic design to create visually captivating assets that connects with diverse audiences.
- Implementation of various marketing and communications strategies e.g. email marketing (mailchimp), social media campaigns, media releases, off-site pop-up activations and park event days.
- Maintain and update content on Oakvale's website.
- Report weekly on digital marketing and website results.
- Facilitate a growing number of international visitors by implementing processes, training staff, and attending international trade fairs e.g. ATE (Australian Tourism Exchange).
- Handle and ensure conversations within the Oakvale’s social spaces remain respectful and aligned with Company and platform guidelines, especially when addressing sensitive topics.
- Deliver exceptional customer service including phone and email correspondence, monitoring bookings and project management.
- Liaising with management and team members to deliver on daily objectives.
- Support the Executive Team with projects and tasks when required.
- Conduct all duties in accordance with a sound understanding of policies and procedures and core business principals.
Key accountabilities:
- Demonstrate exceptional time management skills and ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
- In-depth understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and expertise in both organic and paid promotion strategies.
- Follow the latest industry developments/trends and stay up to date on corporate competitors.
- Communicate in a clear, honest, and professional manner to ensure healthy, long term professional relationships.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Approximately 2 years in a Marketing Coordinator role or similar position.
- Knowledge and ability to use Meta Ads Manager, YouTube, Canva, InDesign, Excel, Roller (booking system), point of sale and eftpos.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to assist with sound team collaboration and external stakeholder interactions.
- A passion to grow and develop the Company's exposure across target markets
- Applicant must be enthusiastic, mature-minded, confident, friendly, well presented, and able to demonstrate a high level of work ethic and initiative.
