Established on 1st November 1979, Oakvale Wildlife Park has remained an Australian family owned and operated business for more than 44 years.

On November 1, 1979, Jeff and Elaine Sansom opened Oakvale Farm & Fauna World. In 1995, the park's ownership was passed down to their son, Kent Sansom, continuing the family's legacy.

Since its inception, Oakvale has undergone numerous transformations. One of the most significant changes occurred in 2018 when the park was renamed from Oakvale Farm & Fauna World to Oakvale Wildlife Park, reflecting our broader focus on wildlife conservation and education.

Our Koala Breeding and Education Centre, affectionately known as 'Koala Country,' exemplifies our ongoing dedication to the welfare and conservation of native wildlife. This facility not only provides a sanctuary for these iconic animals but also serves as an educational hub where visitors can learn about koalas and their habitats.

While the park has evolved over the years, our core mission has remained constant: to offer enriching experiences that foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Australia's unique wildlife. We are committed to providing our visitors with opportunities to engage with and learn about native species, emphasising the importance of conservation efforts.

Our journey is one of growth and dedication, deeply rooted in our unwavering commitment to wildlife education and conservation. At Oakvale Wildlife Park, we strive to inspire our visitors to contribute to the protection and preservation of our precious natural heritage, knowing that every small action can make a big difference.

Join us as we continue to evolve and make strides in wildlife conservation, education, and visitor engagement. Our past is our foundation, our present is our commitment, and our future is dedicated to the thriving coexistence of humans and wildlife. We invite you to be part of this exciting journey.
