OAKVALE WILDLIFE PARK WILL OPEN FROM 1ST JUNE 2020

Monday 25th May 2020

Oakvale Wildlife Park will be reopening to the public on Monday 1st June 2020.

We have implemented our COVID 19 Safety Plan in line with the government guidelines, so you will see a few changes when you arrive to ensure the safety of our visitors, staff and animals.

Located on 25 acres there is ample space for all our guests to enjoy what we have on offer while still practising physical distancing measures.

We recommend purchasing tickets online to ensure a quick and easy check-in once you arrive, however, tickets are still available for purchase upon arrival at the kiosk. Due to the rules and regulations, we do require guests to provide their name and contact phone number upon entering but there will be no restrictions to the number of patrons on park given our expansive grounds.

A variety of sanitising stations have been set up throughout the park along with additional handwashing facilities.

Upon arrival to Oakvale please follow relevant signage and instructions to ensure physical distancing measures are enacted. Wayfinding signs have been set up to ensure easy-flow access around the park with some exhibits having a dedicated point of entry and exit.

The following encounters are still available for purchase: Koala, Reptile & Meerkat Encounters, it is highly recommended that these encounters be booked prior to your arrival as spaces have been limited to enable physical distancing measures.

Oakvale’s café will be operating as normal with lots of wonderful options available for purchase.

Our Reptile Ravine & Walk-through bird aviary will have capacity limitations during peak times and Splash Bay Water Park will be fully operational.

At the commencement of opening rather than encouraging large gatherings of people by having Animal Keeper Talks we will instead be having keepers at various times throughout the day roaming with animals to keep everyone entertained, informed and educated.

We are still offering Birthday Party packages and these can be booked online, via phone or on park.

To all our annual membership holders your membership has been extended by 2 months (the duration we have been closed)

It is important to remember however should you have any cold or flu symptoms or you have been asked to self-isolate; please do not visit the park until you have been cleared by a medical professional.

All our staff and animals can't wait to welcome everyone back to the Oakvale from June 1st 😊

Wednesday 25th March 2020

To our valued customers, business stakeholders and suppliers,

With a saddened heart we announce that as of 5.00pm today Wednesday 25thMarch 2020 Oakvale Wildlife Park will be temporarily closing its doors until the end of April with the plan to reassess as that date becomes closer.

This decision was made in line with the government’s response to COVID-19 to protect the health, safety and welfare of our guests, staff and the broader community in helping stop the spread of this global pandemic.

While we are closed to the public the wellbeing and care of the animals will continue to be looked after by our amazing staff. The animals will be providing progress reports on our social media sites so keep an eye out for them, they are accepting all letters and drawings of support during this time of separation from park visitors.

We are committed to re-opening as soon as it is safe to do so; to continue to provide the community and visitors to the park; conservation and education through hands-on interaction that inspires generations. To keep up to date of when we schedule to re-open please follow our website and social media sites.

We would like to thank all our supporters over the past 40 years, you have helped to make Oakvale Wildlife Park what it is today. We would also like to thank our staff; the dedication and passion you all have to your work and the education that you provide our guests is a credit to you. You are what makes Oakvale Wildlife Park the amazing place it is! To our volunteers, the passion you show us towards conservation and animal care we know our industry will be in good hands in the future.

We encourage everyone to continue to support your local business over the coming period. We encourage you to support the community by purchasing goods to be delivered to your door and/or online purchases for local businesses, because every time you support a small local business, you are supporting a local family. If you would like to support our business during this time, we will still have gift vouchers available for purchase for any birthday’s, anniversaries or just because.

Please visit our website for further information concerning Annual Memberships, Pre-Purchased tickets and more.

If you have any questions, concerns or want to check-in, please stay in contact via social media, email or phone.

Please stay safe, follow health authority guidelines, take care of each other and your community.
