Eastern Grey Kangaroo

Notes: Sleeps by day in shade and grazes from late afternoon till early morning. Gregarious and move in groups. Males about twice the size of females.

Status: Abundant

Habitat: Dry sclerophyll forest to woodland and scrubland with associated grassy areas.

Food: Native grasses and shrubs. Will eat pasture and crops if available

Breeding: Breeding continuous. Young leaves pouch at about 11mths but still suckles till 18mths old. Embryonic diapause.
